I am a self confessed person that is nuts about tourism. My hobbies are not traditional in that I do arts and crafts, although I am an arts and crafts enthusiast, I cannot fit everything into my family schedule. When I was at Caladenia Mini Golf on my last visit, I bumped into other accommodation hosts, Reg and Veronica and through conversation, they were concerned about allergies and their guests. This is the first time I have experienced someone in hospitality that is concerned about allergic reactions prior to any of their guests arrival. You are in good hands when hosts are thinking for you. Check local laws, I believe you can have antihistamines on your premises as long as they self administer the medication or ensure you are on the phone to emergency services 000 or 112 from a mobile phone. I will get back to you on what is deemed acceptable with medication administering at your premises. Well done for taking the momunentual step in discussing allergies in tourism. What steps do you want see in being “nuts about tourism”?

Guilderton Community Fair is an annual event held on the banks of the Moore River, where the river meets the Indian Ocean. Just one hour north of Perth, in the Moore River region, Gingin. The locals absolutely love these events and the Guilderton foreshore is a day trippers delight. If it is your first time to the Guilderton or the Moore River region take a cruise along the Moore River with Phil at Moore River Tours or wander inland to Caladenia Mini Golf or the West Coast Honey farm.

Just came back from a meeting at the well manicured Fini Olive property which is now open for tastings.I stopped in at Caladenia Mini Golf and was warmly placed in front of their wood fired heater. Their chips are the best that I have eaten. Can you find me anyone else in the Moore River region that sells the best chips? I’ll write about their freshly prepared sausage rolls that the local farmers rave about, next time.

When heading up to Fini Olives, be sure to call into Caladenia Mini Golf and Le Cafe as you will pass Caladenia Mini Golf on your way there. What you see here at Caladenia Mini Golf is the story of a passionate landscape gardener Lorraine who has created her dream business. I asked her who vacuums her fairways and was surprised at knowing her husband Wayne gets up extra early every morning before heading off to work himself. That was one of the best stories of aiming for excellence for customer satisfaction that I have heard in a long time. May their premises be filled with all your fun moments in
golfing. Moore River region, just one hour north of Perth.
