The Sun City News editor, Terry Loftus, issues are getting bigger and more local. Not sure if Terry realises that his newspaper oozes local stories and the communities are thankful for exposure for their fundraising events. Sun City News is calling for at least 50 local articles and 20 local photos in every issue within the next few months. See your next event in print by emailing editor@suncitynews.com.au. It has occured to me whilst enjoying a new way of communicating about our region Gingin, that our community is not complete unless I showcase our local legends that tirelessly work behind the scenes to make our community home. Just like you’ll see at the Gingin Expo, the great volunteers that will both coordinate and participate in the Gingin Expo, just like Jane Taylor, who is always putting her hand up to help. Let me know who is one of your local legends in the Shire of Gingin. Do we have more local legends per capital than any other shire?

This Saturday our local legends put together this annual event, the Gingin Expo, that draws crowds from all over the state. See you there, this Saturday 17th April from 830am amongst the the machinery and motorbikes, farm equipment and shearing events. Gingin Expo brings out our great arts, crafts and jam makers…One hour north of Perth, directly off Wanneroo Rd, or newly named Indian Ocean Drive in the Moore River Region.
