According to Mainroads traffic along Indian Ocean Drive has increased to out of this world numbers and we are just at the beginning stages of growth for self drive to the north of Western Australia. Moore River Holidays website traffic has also increased 114.30%. We have been fortunate in this part of Western Australia to see an increase in traffic, especially when the economy is down as we have never seen this amount of cars on our roads ever. We thank you for experiencing the outdoor playground of Western Australia. If Moore River Holidays is ever booked out, we will offer you alternative accommodation to look at and we showcase our local attractions in the Turquoise Coast and Moore River regions of Gingin.

Gingin is the heart of the Moore River region and has really earned its heart medal with a community like ours. I was heading into our Gingin Tourism AGM meeting last night a little squashed and stiffled. I see the potential of tourism just one hour north of Perth. I know we are known as virgin territory, but I see that busy people no longer have the time or funds to travel to the Margaret River region three hours south of Perth, Western Australia.I will never give in on something that I can see the potential for and this includes my passion for tourism and my people. Last night I was one of the last men standing to remain on the tourism committee along with Mike from Brookside Accommodation. Our two other committee members were our government Gingin Councillor and Norm Skoglund our Small Business Development Centre Government representative. Going into the AGM I was overwhelmed with the back up support waiting there to take on positions as committee members to get our tourism group the kick start it needs. We need vision beyond our borders for tourism, agriculture, community and business. I have the strength, courage, drive and commitment to deliver based on any hurdle that is put in front of me. I enjoy networking with our entire community groups and the strength in numbers for our 2011/2012 Gingin Tourism committee is overwhelmingly awesome. They believed in me to make the right choices for the greater community and I will always uphold in that honesty and belief.
I am very thankful in the work that our teams of volunteers have created over the years to get us where we are today. I am nuts about my community and tourism.

Necker Isand experienced tropical storms with winds up to 90mph and a powerful large lightning storm came around 4am and hit the house. Richard’s son Sam and nephew Jack rushed to the house and helped get everyone out and many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry Richard’s 90 year mum out of the main house to safety. Kate Winslet was wondering when a Director was going to shout CUT! Isn’t it amazing, that no matter how BIG the tragedy, you can always see the humourous side of life. Moore River Holidays would like to extend our holiday home to you all. According to our local SCOOP Magazine who I believe is the greatest travel & tourism magazine that Perth, Western Australia has to offer, Moore River Holidays is located on the cusp of Virgin territory. If we are going to claim our area as Virgin territory according to page 90 and 91 of the SCOOP Magazine July to December 2011 Issue, I want to see it branded with the real Virgin brand with Richard Branson heading our way and claiming this territory as his Virgin territory.
Just over one hour north of Perth and we are claiming this as Virgin territory?
Got some ideas on how to do this?

Shlumpadinka
The word Oprah Winfrey made up a long time ago to describe slumpy housewives, the types that are wearing the same sweats they wore yesterday and the day before. They usually have more than one child and are running around nonstop and have been totally worn out and given up on how they look.

Spring is officially world Shlumpadinka season for 2011 and the Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party begins here in Western Australia. A world first Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party. This year, 2011, our Moore River Holiday home is available for the first, Sisterhood of the Shlumpadinka’s Sleepover Party. We will measure the success of the Shlumpadinka Sleepover Spring Party from our individual bookings this year, and then open the Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party to greater groups of women next year. My thoughts are creating a full Shlumpadinka season, being winter, as we can get out our UGG boots and really complete the Shlumpadinka look. Australia’s winter is from June till August, but in other parts of the world winter is designated at different times of the year. As we are on 40 acres on the Moore River, just one hour north of Perth, this would make an easy getaway for us busy Shlumpadinka housewives, as the rural setting means you don’t have to bring out your besties, just invite your besties along. I personally need my Shlumpadinka moments just to chill out and I am a proud Shlumpadinka and high roller housewife. A high roller housewife loves to curl with the girls, so bring your hair rollers too. Moore River Holidays is located directly off Indian Oprah Drive, oops, Indian Ocean Drive. i love you Oprah!
Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party: Stay Frumpy Friday till Shlumpadinka Sunday
Shlumpadinka face: little or no make up
Shlumpadinka dress code: PJ’s and tracksuits
Shlumpadinka syndrome: Laugh, Love & Lounge a little. Share stories with girlfriends
Shlumpadinka dance moves: Shlumpadinka Sexy
Shlumpadinka breakfast: Opraisin Toast, tea & coffee
Shlumpadinka lunch: Panini press sandwiches
This Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party blog wording may change, as I am wanting to be respectful on words written, just in case I am infringing on Oprah’s or anyone’s trademarks
Thanks my Shlumpadinkas and High Roller Housewives
Rona Chiera of Moore River Holidays 0419 909 167

I am working on Tony Fini’s 80th birthday celebrations for the entire month of November 2011 in Gingin, heart of the Moore River region. This is what I have written up so far, however I would like to know what you want to see showcased for Tony Fini’s 80th birthday, so you can contribute to an Italian styled festival of fun in the Moore River region.
A little more Italy
Help us celebrate Tony Fini’s 80th Birthday.
The Moore River region is showcasing a cultural love affair with all things Italian
A Month long of celebrations this November 2011
The Moore River region is the largest olive growing region in Western Australia and this November we get to celebrate Tony Fini’s love of olives, his heritage, his love of the land and the Moore River region for his 80th birthday. All around the Shire of Gingin and throughout our local businesses we will fly the Italian flag in honour of Tony Fini’s 80th birthday and we will serve and showcase some of our favourite Italian dishes.
Our Western Australian communities have a natural love affair of all things Italian. We are proud to be a region that is rich in Australian, European and Asian traditions and passions.
Enjoy our wines, cheeses, honey and olives at Fini Olives and our vineyards and wineries. Arts, antipasto and platters: A selection of Mediterranean foods awaits you amongst our local accommodation providers, activities and attractions.

Just got off the phone to one of the dedicated volunteer ambulance officers and talking to him gave me goosebumps. The reason why he gave me goosebumps is that he was talking to me like a true soldier. A true soldier specialises with military precision that requires different areas of knowledge and skill-sets to help those in need. He says, that there were 2 young men he was speaking with, who were the first on the scene who were so courageous and brave that they overcame their fears and smashed the windows, to free the tourists inside the bus. These two young boys, thought about the fear of an explosion due to fuel, but decided to go forward and put their own lives on the line to help others in need. We had helicopters, paramedics and police at the scene and he believes there would have been in excess of 24-30 volunteers on the ground in Lancelin setting up make set areas for medical attention. The Desert Storm Operation flowed so well, as he believes this may have been our biggest accident in the Moore River region. Not only was the dedication of being a volunteer was driving him, but one the proudest moments he said was that he was standing alongside other fellow volunteer team members of ambulance and fire brigade. Our emergency crew and volunteers came from in our shire and the surrounding shires. He said the volunteers are on call day and night upon demand. He wants to ensure that you know, that our teams of volunteers are providing this service with absolute dedication from their hearts, in an unpaid capacity and they are on call 24/7. Being a volunteer is so good for his soul we wishes he could walk alongside more of you in the community.
Dear our Singapore visitors, I just wanted to share with you a little insight into the locals we have in our community who will do anything to help others in need. The Moore River region is just one hour north of Perth and you feel like you are in the country, as our community is filled with heroes with big hearts and warm smiles. We do hope this will not hinder you to enjoy Western Australia.
Western Australia is the “Outdoor playground of Australia” My warmest regards Singapore, my warmest, Rona Chiera

My dream Dinner Party for 12 at the Pinnacles in Western Australia. I tend to openly invite my community, friends and family into my life, so before I give you my dream Dinner Party for 12 list: I would not want you to miss it, therfore, I would allow you to skype or You Tube the entire dinner party , so you would feel as if you were a part of it. If my Dream Dinner Party for 12 at the Pinnacles in Western Australia, ever eventuates, I would put the menu online, so you could create it at home, get a gathering of your 12 people and enjoy the dinner party together with us.

My Dream Dinner Party for 12 at the Pinnacles in Western Australia list is: Ronald McDonald, David Koch(Kochie),Nelson Mandela, Oprah, Julie Andrews, Jackie Chan, Richard Branson,P!NK, Mr Youdel (my grade 5 teacher), Mr Rick Firns (my children’s School Principal), Lady Gaga, Prince William and one extra, just for good measures, Barack Obama!

I chose this list of people as they have inspired my to greater heights in my thinking than I can ever thank them for. Hardship along the way is just a hurdle, no matter what, they still inspire others to become greater and share their soul. Volunteering in your community is so good for your soul, there should be an annual goal we set for ourselves without limits, to volunteer in our communities
