Things to do in Gingin. Gingin Attractions
August 16th, 2010 by Rona ChieraJust one of our attractions: A compact and accessible walk trail has been identified featuring many scenic and historical attractions within the Gingin towns’ central precinct, including Jones’ Shop 1854, St Luke’s 1861, Uniting Church 1870, Gingin Post Office 1886 and Philbey’s Cottage 1903.
A notable feature of the walk is the Jim Gordon VC Trail, which traverses the Gingin Brook and offers an impressive stroll through ferns and lilies under a canopy of ancient Paperbarks. The 45 minute walk is suitable for people of all ages. The walk begins at Granville Park, Weld Street Gingin. Gingin is one of Western Australia’s oldest towns

Moore River region tourism member
June 15th, 2010 by Rona ChieraMany people ask what are the benefits of becoming a member of the Gingin Coast Tourism Association? YOU asked for it, so here is why I have personally become a member. I have stopped at just 7 reasons-1) I work alongside like minded individuals 2) Work towards the same goals as other members on improving the face of tourism in our region 3) I get to have an opinion on tourism in our region and not just sit on the sideline and winge when things go wrong 4) My customers are benefiting from me being a tourism member as I am continually kept up to date with the trends in tourism. 5) Together we are strengthening our regions profile 6) Our local residents will see the benefits throughout our region of being employed in the tourism industry as the traffic increases up the Indian Ocean Drive. Increases in tourism employment will have a positive flow on effect in our community. 7) Being a GCTA Inc member provides an effective and positive exchange of information at all levels and I believe my membership to GCTA Inc is an investment in ME, YOU and your business and for the future of our region. Together we are building a strong foundation. With me on your team, Rona Chiera, I am contributing with raw, uneducated talent. But my passion for my region and tourism speaks louder and my fellow members feel it! What more could I want? YOU on my team…
