Chloe the Joey of Woollybush Guest house is home!

I rang Woollybush Guesthouse yesterday morning and spoke to Phill and he told me that Chloe the Joey was sighted at the Guilderton Foreshore. Her breakfast bowl and her special treats were scattered around to the Moore River foreshore to ensure she hovered around this area which is her well known stomping ground. Annette, was too distraught to get to the phone which was totally understandable.
Annette and Phill have just got back from Guilderton and managed to find Chloe the Joey. Phill found her on the Guilderton Golf Course and because it was dark he didn’t want to take a chance on her hopping away into the night, so he picked up his baby girl and carried her 20kgs of Australian goodness back to the car which was around 1km away. I wonder if Phill sung her a lullaby or whispered sweet nothings in her ear to keep her calm and relaxed as he carried her away. How do you keep a kangaroo calm in your arms for a 1 km walk? Mum & Dad are very happy to have Chloe the Joey, their baby girl back home!!!! A big thank you to everyone for their concern and support over our 3 days of losing their loved one.
If you ever get the opportunity to golf at the Guilderton Golf Course you may get to see some of Chloe the Joey’s friends as the Guilderton Golf course is reknowned as a kangaroo hot spot.
Not a Fairy Tale ending but a good Kangaroo Tail to remember, with Chloe the Joey as the unpaid, leading lady!
Annette, Phill & Chloe xxx wish love to you all

Our Woollybush, Chloe the Joey is still missing

A little more information on our community spirited, Chloe the Joey from the Moore River region. Now before I tell you about how Woollybush Guesthouse owners come to look after Chloe the Joey, remember that I have always said, that to live in the Moore River region, you have to enjoy being a local, that means being a volunteer, somewhere, for someone.Chloe the Joey, is no different. Chloe the Joey of Woollybush Guesthouse, is a volunteer for sick children at Princess Margaret Hospital, PMH. Phill and Annette of Woollybush Guesthouse have raised Chloe the Joey, our famous resident kangaroo, since she was rescued from her dead mother as a baby. If you want more information on our local legend, just
Google ‘Chloe the Joey’ – she is quite a famous Facebook. She has been to Princess Margaret Hospital, to visit the sick children and has recently enjoyed her story told in the national Take 5 magazine. Chloe enjoys her trips to the Moore River Estuary in Guilderton.  Chloe hops along behind us, as we go through the water and stops to relish in all the attention of pats and cuddles from our visitors to the Moore River. Chloe the Joey is a delightful family member. Chloe the Joey still has her bottle twice a day and little snacks like fruit and her favorite nuts, almonds.  However she spends most of the evenings and nights out under the stars with the other wild kangaroos that live on the Woollybush Guesthouse property
and visit each evening. Chloe the Joey is a precious member of our community and we need to find her. She may attract a male kangaroo and live the fairy tale end that we all wish for and that is to live happily ever after!

Chloe the Joey will be spending tonight in the wild.

Thank you  Rona – we have just got home after spending a good 4 hours in Guilderton around the mouth of the Moore River, pounding pavements, calling until we’re hoarse and then driving around and around; all without any luck.   We have also spoken to everyone we came across, gave them cards with Phill’s mobile number – don’t know what else we can do.  The community have been so helpful including the Gingin Shire Ranger is on the lookout for own little Chloe the Joey. Chloe the Joey is valued member of our family and this is extremely distressing to us.

We’ll go back down again tomorrow to find Chloe. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Chloe our resident Joey of Woollybush Guesthouse is missing

Chloe the Joey is our much loved baby kangaroo at Woollybush Guesthouse. She got a fright and hopped out of sight into the Moore River scrub. The area she was last seen was around the mouth of the Moore River near the Guilderton General Store. If you can make it tonight till twilight, let’s bring back Chloe our beloved Moore River, Joey.
Email written by Chloe’s Mum, Annette
We have lost Chloe – our pet Kangaroo!!!

Phill had her in Guilderton this morning as usual and he went into the shop to buy a newspaper before coming home.  A 4×4 in the meantime hit a speed bump on the road, everything rattled, and she took off.

We have spent the entire morning hunting for her, talking to everyone we came across and putting up notices around Guilderton, in the shops etc,  asking anyone who sees her to please call us.  We will be going back down late this afternoon in the hope that when the traffic in the area calms down; she will come out of hiding and go back to the area near the shop or Caravan Park.

I am asking you to please send this email on to everyone you know in and around the Guilderton area who may happen across her.  She is wearing her Pink Collar, so should be noticeable from wild roos and it tinkles when she hops.  However, as it is a cat collar with a quick release there is always the chance she could have caught it on something and it’s come off – hope not!

Anyone seeing her should phone us on 9577 1909 and if no reply on Phill’s mob 0409 948 436.

Probably better they shouldn’t try to chase her as she’ll just run further, rather just let us know where they saw her and we’ll have a better chance of finding her.

Thanks heaps for your help

I love you Moore, Virgin Territory according to SCOOP magazine.

Necker Isand experienced tropical storms with winds up to 90mph and a powerful large lightning storm came around 4am and hit the house. Richard’s son Sam and nephew Jack rushed to the house and helped get everyone out and many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry Richard’s 90 year mum out of the main house to safety. Kate Winslet was wondering when a Director was going to shout CUT! Isn’t it amazing, that no matter how BIG the tragedy, you can always see the humourous side of life. Moore River Holidays would like to extend our holiday home to you all. According to our local SCOOP Magazine who I believe is the greatest travel & tourism magazine that Perth, Western Australia has to offer, Moore River Holidays is located on the cusp of Virgin territory. If we are going to claim our area as Virgin territory according to page 90 and 91 of the SCOOP Magazine July to December 2011 Issue, I want to see it branded with the real Virgin brand with Richard Branson heading our way and claiming this territory as his Virgin territory.
Just over one hour north of Perth and we are claiming this as Virgin territory?
Got some ideas on how to do this?

Shlumpadinka Sleepover Spring Party- Oprah Winfrey word

Shlumpadinka
The word Oprah Winfrey made up a long time ago to describe slumpy housewives, the types that are wearing the same sweats they wore yesterday and the day before. They usually have more than one child and are running around nonstop and have been totally worn out and given up on how they look.

Spring is officially world Shlumpadinka season for 2011 and the Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party begins here in Western Australia. A world first Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party. This year, 2011, our Moore River Holiday home is available for the first, Sisterhood of the Shlumpadinka’s Sleepover Party. We will measure the success of the Shlumpadinka Sleepover Spring Party from our individual bookings this year, and then open the Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party to greater groups of women next year. My thoughts are creating a full Shlumpadinka season, being winter, as we can get out our UGG boots and really complete the Shlumpadinka look. Australia’s winter is from June till August, but in other parts of the world winter is designated at different times of the year. As we are on 40 acres on the Moore River, just one hour north of Perth, this would make an easy getaway for us busy Shlumpadinka housewives, as the rural setting means you don’t have to bring out your besties, just invite your besties along. I personally need my Shlumpadinka moments just to chill out and I am a proud Shlumpadinka and high roller housewife. A high roller housewife loves to curl with the girls, so bring your hair rollers too. Moore River Holidays is located directly off Indian Oprah Drive, oops, Indian Ocean Drive. i love you Oprah!
Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party: Stay Frumpy Friday till Shlumpadinka Sunday
Shlumpadinka face: little or no make up
Shlumpadinka dress code: PJ’s and tracksuits
Shlumpadinka syndrome: Laugh, Love & Lounge a little. Share stories with girlfriends
Shlumpadinka dance moves: Shlumpadinka Sexy
Shlumpadinka breakfast: Opraisin Toast, tea & coffee
Shlumpadinka lunch: Panini press sandwiches
This Shlumpadinka Sleepover Party blog wording may change, as I am wanting to be respectful on words written, just in case I am infringing on Oprah’s or anyone’s trademarks
Thanks my Shlumpadinkas and High Roller Housewives
