Does Tourism Boost Workshops work?

I went along to last year’s Tourism Boost Workshop coordinated by Small Business Development Centre run by Kym Francesconi. It is a brilliant course to attend even for the experienced tourism operator. You can go to segments of the course and if business owners are too busy to attend the Succeeding Online section is the one I would choose. Session 2 and 3 together, are very worthwhile It is also worth repeating the course too for information not absorbed and for networking purposes. It has taken me approx 1 year to put all that I learned from the Tourism Boost Workshop sessions into practise and I am proof that it works. I currently operate a holiday house, Moore River Holidays. We are on page 1 of Google if you search Moore River, Moore River Accommodation. We are booked out most weekends, we do not have a peak period and low season price scale. We now blog, Singapore Newspaper Group have rung me directly about a blog. Advocate Newspaper Group now follow me on Facebook. We have just recieved a free article in 2 local newspapers, Front page and inside Advocate and North Coast Times, thanks to reporter  Caroline Frank. Not sure of the dollar value of this, but it was free. We rank higher if we share other peoples website details and  I love sharing.  I personally do not see other operators as competitors I see them as networking partners and we share information and refer people amongst ourselves. If I am booked out you will never be turned away without being given an alternative location to stay in our region. I have joined our surrounding tourism groups to cross network, I do not want to send any enquiry away. My website is not perfect, but the rules of Succeeding Online have certainly contributed to our online presence and ranking and the course is well worth attending,  the Tourism Boost Workshops have been an investment in me, my customers and where I am wanting my future to go.
